anyone know what this med is?

UPDATE: friends on Facebook figured it out--it's Russian IV metronidazole. Thanks!

Can anyone tell me what this is? As far as I can tell, it is some sort of IV medication (and I believe the concentration is 500 mg per 100 mL), but beyond that, I have no idea. I don't know what language this is, either. I don't want to throw it away if it's something useful.

I think it's Russian, but I don't know what it says.

It looks like Russian to me, too. I used www.translator.reference.com and came up with MetronIDazol. Hope that sounds familiar to you, cause I'm not in the medical profession at all.

Hey there,
it is metronidasole, IV sol.
from wiki:
is a nitroimidazole antibiotic medication used particularly for anaerobic bacteria and protozoa. Metronidazole is an antibiotic, amebicide, and antiprotozoal.[1] It is the drug of choice for first episodes of mild-to-moderate Clostridium difficile infection.[2] It is marketed by Pfizer under the trade name Flagyl.
hope it helps.
P.S.
found your blog because of the cholera treating instructions. thanks for the complete and easy to follow set of instructions!
